I’m not here to replace you

You know your person best. You know when they are stressed and worried, you know when they are struggling. You can see their excitement in the way they smile or their concern as they furrow their brow. As your birth worker, I strive to have you both connect as much as possible during this intimate time in your lives. I’m here to help you:

  • understand different ways to support your partner throughout their pregnancy

  • know what sort of practices are going to be beneficial during labour AKA - help you not feel so helpless, show you where to put your hands to provide them relief, how you can support them through their contractions

  • gain some education about what postpartum looks like and how you can help each other transition into parenthood

It’s about empowering both of you

I want to empower your family, and that includes the role that you, the partner, wants in the birth story and how you can support your partner throughout this time. I can teach you how to support your partner during birth so that you can share those necessary connection moments during labour. As a birth worker, I love to see the couple sharing these intimate moments. Labour and birth are transformational experiences for both parents and leaning on one another - trusting one another, will deepen the bond you have as you move into parenthood. Having me around during this time can allow you to learn what you both need to be supported and can assist you in fostering the birthing environment you're looking for.

We use an all-encompassing support system to achieve the birth that both you and your partner desire (to the best of our abilities!) Your questions will be answered, which in turn will help you gain the confidence and knowledge you need moving into labour. I’ll be here as a guide and an unmovable rock, to ensure you both feel cared for and prepared in all aspects.
